This certificate has been developed for people interested in studying and working with young children in preschool and day care centers. The program is designed for full-time child care providers who have completed 480 hours of child care. Under certain conditions students who have not met this requirement may be accepted in the program; however, they will have to earn 480 hours of experience before program completion. PCCUA can place students in volunteer internships. Completion time is one year. Students enroll in 12+ credit hours per semester and 3-6 college credit hours in the summer.
