/ESCO 15003: Emergency Services Communication I

This course covers the basic rules, regulations and operating practices along with electrical theory, with a focus on VHF and UHF communications. Students successfully completing this course will receive an FCC Part 97 license (amateur radio service - Technician) and privileges to operate FM Voice, Digital (computer) Television, Single Sideband Voice and satellites.

/ESCO 15103: Emergency Services Communication II

Students successfully completing the Technician Class License will be eligible for this course. This course focuses on communication within the High Frequency spectrum, with concentration in regulations and electrical theory below 30 Mhz. Successful completion of this course and Element 3 of the FCC Part 97 exam will convey the privileges of the Amateur Radio Service - General Class (pre-requisite is ESCO 15003 Emergency Services Communication I).

/ESCO 15203: Emergency Services Communication III

ESCO 15203
Lecture Hours 3 Credits 3

Students successfully completing the General Class License will be eligible for this course. This course specializes operating practices, advanced electronics theory, antenna and radio equipment design. Students successfully completing this course and element 4 of the FCC Part 97 exam will be granted the privileges and responsibilities of the Extra Class license. (pre-requisite is ESCO 15103 Emergency Services Communication II).
