Beginning Spanish II, continues the development of basic skills and building vocabulary through daily speaking, writing and reading Spanish. Class-time is devoted to explanation, written and oral practice. Homework will focus on reading, writing and pronunciation. Handouts, in-class discussions and projects will promote cultural awareness. SH 123/SPAN 10203 (SPAN 1023) is a continuation of SH 113/SPAN 10103 (SPAN 1013). It seeks to further develop a basic proficiency in the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The instruction is communicatively oriented and emphasizes the everyday life and culture of Spanish speaking people. It is strongly recommended that the student should have completed SH 113/SPAN 10103 (SPAN 1013) with a ā€œCā€ or better.
