Students will be able to define what constitutes a social problem. Students will become familiar with some of the more prevalent social problems, their causes and effects. The course focuses on the study of identification, intervention, assessment, and is grounded in sociological principles of investigation. The course also reviews reactions to health/behavioral health related problems.
