PCCUA recognizes that Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools can support learning when used appropriately. Students may use AI tools only as permitted by the instructor and must disclose and properly cite any AI-generated content used in coursework. AI should be used to support learning—not replace a student's own work, critical thinking, or academic effort
Students are prohibited from submitting AI-generated work as their own, using AI to complete graded assignments without instructor approval, or misrepresenting AI-generated content as original work. All work submitted must reflect the student's own understanding and effort.
Students are responsible for verifying the accuracy of AI-generated content and following any course-specific requirements regarding AI use. The instructor reserves the right to allow, restrict, or prohibit AI use for any assignment or course activity.
Violations of this policy will be addressed in accordance with the PCCUA Academic Dishonesty Policy and may result in academic or disciplinary sanctions such as failing grade for the assignment, exam, or project.
