General Graduation Requirements

Graduation is held in December and May, with an annual commencement ceremony each May in Phillips and Arkansas Counties. Only students receiving a Technical Certificate or higher participate in the ceremony.

Associate degrees or Technical Certificates will be awarded to students who satisfy the following requirements:

  1. Complete a minimum of sixty (60) approved semester credit hours of approved toward the desired associates degree; complete a minimum of twenty-four (24) approved semester credit hours toward the desired technical certificate.
  2. At least thirty (30) credit hours or the last fifteen (15) hours toward an A.A., A.S., or an A.A.S. degree must be earned from PCCUA. At least half of the credit hours toward a technical certificate must be earned from PCCUA.
  3. Earn a grade point average of 2.0 or above on all college-level work completed. 
    *Nursing and MLT programs require higher cumulative GPA to meet program specific graduation requirements.
  4. Submit an application for graduation. Fall 2025 graduation applications are due November 19, 2025, and Spring 2026 graduation applications are due March 13, 2026.
  5. Fulfill financial obligations to the College.
