Human Growth and Development, provides an overview of the study of maturational and environmental factors in human growth and development. It examines the typical physical, cognitive, and social-emotional changes as they occur in each period of the lifespan: Prenatal, Infancy and Toddlerhood, Early Childhood, Middle Childhood, Adolescence, Early Adulthood, Late Adulthood. Students will study major developmental theories in terms of how they explain changes that occur over the lifespan.
