This course introduces essential characteristics of a cloud environment, various cloud services and deployment models, the role of virtualization in cloud computing, and major cloud providers.  Students will explore some of the challenges of cloud deployment, with emphasis in the area of security.  Students will gain knowledge in the technologies and processes required to build traditional, virtualized, and cloud data center environments, including computation, storage, networking, desktop and application virtualization, business continuity, security, and management.  The course will also cover the concepts and objectives of the CompTia Cloud+ certification exam.
