ISHP 10303: Nursing Assistant Clinical
(Hours may exceed Office of LTC requirements) This course provides instruction in the knowledge and principles of nursing assistant practice. Emphasis is placed on communication, infection control, safety, resident rights, activities of daily living, restorative care, and the delivery of safe, resident-centered care within the nursing assistant scope of practice.
ISHP 10707: Nursing Assistant Theory
(Hours may exceed Office of LTC requirements) This clinical course provides supervised experiences in the delivery of basic nursing assistant care in a healthcare setting. Students apply skills related to activities of daily living, infection control, resident rights, safety, communication, and restorative care while providing resident-centered care. Successful completion of the course prepares students for eligibility to take the Arkansas Nursing Assistant Competency Examination.
