Phillips Community College of the University of Arkansas (PCCUA) accepts transfer credit from other institutions when all of the following conditions are met:
- Accreditation
The credits were earned at a postsecondary institution with regional accreditation and authorization to award the associate degree. - Applicability
The course credits being transferred must apply toward satisfying a requirement within the student’s chosen PCCUA program of study. - Grades
The grade earned must be a “C” or higher. PCCUA will accept one course with a grade of “D” toward graduation requirements.
In certain cases, credits may also be accepted from institutions holding special professional accreditation, provided the accreditation is recognized as establishing professional standards for certification or licensure in that field.
When questions arise regarding the acceptability of credits from another institution, PCCUA will follow the policy of the major state university in the home state of that institution. If that university accepts the credits in question, PCCUA will generally do the same.
