This course is the study of world civilizations to early modern period. This course surveys the development of society from Paleolithic Era. This course provides the historical context for selected cultures which reflect the development of social, political and economic interactions between major world civilizations. It also includes an examination of religion, philosophy, and rhetoric as reflected in those societies. Students enrolled in the course will develop and utilize critical thinking and communication skills in order to gain a global and historical perspective.
